Nutrition and Accountability

Nutrition may be one of the most challenging pillars in terms of discipline, especially if you’re working to create significant changes in your current nutritional habits.

The study cited above, was a study performed to analyze the effectiveness of “Diet Coaching” when clients were given a protein prescription plan. The study provides evidence that the group that received “Diet Coaching” along with the protein recommendations, was more successful than a group who just received the protein recommendations with no follow up.

This success was categorized by several factors:

  • Increased overall protein intake compared to non-coached group

  • Increased protein intake in breakfast compared with the non-coached group

  • Increase in muscle strength and performance compared with non-coached group

This speaks to a simple idea; It is okay to ask for help/support when one is looking to create change in nutritional habits. For many years, I took the approach with most endeavors that, “I got this.” Well, as it turns out, if you really care about being successful in an effective and efficient fashion, then finding the right support and coaching for nutritional changes could help you in creating meaningful and long lasting change.

You can do this, and you are NOT in it alone!
